    Bread for the City is a nonprofit organization in DC that provides many victim-centered services to the DC community. They offer services to low-income community members and provide an atmosphere of dignity and respect. The organization provides food service, clothing service, medical and dental services, social services, legal services, and advocacy. Food service- If a victim falls within 200% of the Federal Poverty Line and is a DC resident, they can receive three days of food each month. The food pantry hours are the same as the general hours of each location. Both pantries are closed from 12:00pm-1:00pm for lunch. Clothing service (SE LOCATION ONLY)- Clothing donations from individuals, schools, offices and places of worship keep our clothing room stocked with seasonally appropriate clothes for children and adults. Bread for the City clients receive clothing Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10:00 am-2:00 pm at our Southeast Center. Clients can visit once a week. Medical services- Bread for the City has provided primary medical care to uninsured and low-income children and adults since 1974. Our medical staff includes two full-time physicians, a physician assistant, a family nurse practitioner, and more than 40 volunteer physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, residents, students and others. Our medical services include: Medical examinations Pediatric care Dental care Job physicals Screenings Gynecological care
